For the fashion week shows, I wanted to dress nice but with glam and understated makeup. I love the sort of makeup that Jamie Genevieve does as it’s so glam and perfect without being over the top or cakey and that’s what I was channelling for the Highstreet Heaven show! I created a tutorial of the look I wore to the Designer and Boutique show, you can find it here!
As always I began by filling in my brow using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in the shade Dark Brown and then I carved around the brows using the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Vanilla. You can read all about my favourite brow tools in my 1 Brow, 3 Ways post.
All the shades for this look are from the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette, I first went in with the shade Sauced and blended this just above the crease to create the illusion of a larger lid. I then went in with the shade Cayenne and applied this through the crease as well and then I began to blend this into the inner third and outer third to begin to create a spotlight eye. I went back to the previous brush and shade to blend away any harsh edges! To further deepen the edges I used the shade En Feugo with a pencil brush to precisely apply it to the inner third and outer third of the lid, using the previous brush and shade to blend.
To cut the centre ‘halo’ portion of the lid I went in with the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Vanilla and a small concealer brush to conceal the centre portion of the lid and used the shade Sauced and a small blending brush to soften the edges. While the concealer is still wet I applied the shade Ounce using a patting motion for the most pigmentation. I then applied a dab of Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow in Karma Kitten to the back of my hand before patting it on the centre of my lid with a brush, this way you pick up most of the shimmer without it being overpowering!
I then tight lined using the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Waterline Eye Pencil in Legend, I also applied this to my top lid to add a little definition. For the lower lash line, I used the shade En Feugo and blended this out with the shade Sauced. I then applied some black eyeshadow up close to the lower lashes to make them look thicker and for a more smokey look! I then applied some mascara and Huda Beauty Lashes in the style, Samantha.
