January has been a notorious time for diets and of course I’m no different. I’ve posted about my healthy lifestyle journey in my previous posts; Healthy Living Lifestyle and Fitness Tracker Takeover. And now with my girls trip to Ibiza fast approaching I’m finding myself wishing I hadn’t eaten quite so many chocolates at Christmas! So here’s what I’m doing to get a wee bit healthier for 2018!
Disclaimer: I am in no way a health and fitness professional, these are just some tips I try to abide by.
Limit my Sugar Intake
I am a real sucker for a cup of tea and a biscuit (or two) so I’m really trying to curb this bad habit, first by not having any sugar/biscuits before 1pm, so when I have my obligatory coffee in the mornings I won’t be having a wee chocolate digestive alongside it! I’m also trying to reduce my sugar intake by switching from Hot Chocolate (my favourite drink) to regular tea or green tea! Hopefully this will help reduce my sugar intake and help contribute to me becoming a little healthier!
Like a lot of people when I’m at the gym I’m fine, and normally end up enjoying myself but getting there is a whole other situation! I cannot find the motivation to go to the gym ANYWHERE! So throughout January I have talked myself into going to the gym once a week and then going on a walk once a week as well! In February I’m hoping to increase this to going to the gym twice a week and then on a walk twice a week until I happily go regularly!
Normally I’m not a fan of supplements, but I was gifted the Protein World Collagen Collection* so I thought I’d give it a go! This collection includes Slender Blend Collagen, this can be used as a weight loss or a post workout snack. You also get the Collagen Beauty Blend, this is a beauty drink that is Boosted with Collagen and Vitamins and can be taken daily. Lastly this collection includes Collagen Capsules, these are taken three times a day (2 in the morning and 1 at night) to help hydrate, clear and smooth out the skin for a more youthful look!
Recently I’ve gotten out of the way of wearing my FitBit and I’ve also gotten a little (a lot) lazy and inactive, so in an aim to reset this I’m going back to my 7,500 step goal and wearing my band everyday to help me get in all those steps!
Wish me luck, I know I’ll need it!!
