BLOGMAS 19: Mauve Madness

Hey Everyone,

When it comes to makeup it can be hard to introduce colour, especially when it comes to eyeshadows! But one of my favourite colours to play with is mauve/plum shades! They are so flattering and add enough colour without making us uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong I love a good colourful eye look but I’m rarely bold enough to wear them out of the house, these mauves on the overhand are perfect!

I started by priming my lids using the Urban Decay Original Primer Potion all over the lid, then using a large fluffy brush I blended Limit (Urban Decay Naked 3) through the crease. I repeated this a few times to give this colour more punch! I then used a slightly smaller blending brush and blended Nooner (Urban Decay Naked 3) through the crease. I kept this in a more defined area than the previous shade. I then went in with a deep plum shade (Morphe 35T Palette – 5th row, 4th colour) and applied this along the mobile lid, using a flat shader brush. I used the brush I applied Nooner with the blend out the harsh line from the darker shade. I used the same shades along the lower lashline.

To finish the eyes I applied Urban Decay 24/7 Water Line Glide on Eye Pencil in Legend to the lower and upper waterline before applying lots of Benefit Roller Lash and Ardell Demi Wish False Lashes.
