#Throwback Thursday: Urban Decay Naked Palette

Hey Everyone,

After my last #tbt post about the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, I wanted to create a look using just the original Naked palette. This palette features more about browns and gold shades making it the perfect palette for a classic daytime smokey eye.

To begin I primed my eyes using Urban Decay Original Primer Potion. I then went in with the shade Naked this is a matte neutral light brown so its perfect for adding definition to the crease. After building this up a few times I went in with Buck, this is a matte brown but is slightly warmer than Naked. These are the only matte shades in the palette which I find pretty annoying, as for a more intense look you would really benefit from a darker matte shade.

I then went in with my concealer and to clean up the inner third of my lid, this created a semi cut crease look! I then went in with the shade Sin to add some lightness and shimmer to the inner portion of the eye and applied the shade Sidecar towards the centre of the eye for some colour. This is the same technique I used in my Rose Gold Romance Look. After applying an initial coat of each colour I went back in and reapplied the shades wet.

TOP TIP: If you have hooded eyes and are not sure how high up to ‘cut the crease’ apply some concealer nearer the lash line and look straight ahead, where the concealer transfers too is how high to cut the crease.

I tight lined using Urban Decay 24/7 Water Line Eye Pencil in Legend and then smudged this into my lower lashline using a mixture of Naked and Buck. To make my lashes look thicker I stamped some of Creep along my top lashline using a small angled brush. I then went in with lots of mascara! Today I used Benefit They’re Real Mascara and MAC Extended Play Gigablack Mascara.

For the lips I used Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow and Arrow with Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in Child Star in the centre.

Let me know in the comments what throw back product would you like to see next?
