Spring Bronze Eye

Hey Everyone!

I wore this smokey eye out for dinner and I absolutely loved it! It looks so summery and goes with almost every lip colour and outfit! It’s such a simple look that I thought I’d share it with yous!

To start I filled in my brows, I used Soap and Glory Brow Archery to help define the shape I wanted and then used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow to fill in. I’m not very good at using just the dip brow to shape my brows, I prefer using a pencil for shape as I find it so much easier! To set my brows I used the L’Oreal Artist Brow Plumper. I went for a bold brow look as I wanted to wear my hair up!

For the eyes I used the Morphe 35T palette, this a a really lovely warm taupe palette. I first applied some concealer to my eye lids to act as a primer, I also used this to help cleanup my brows! I set this using my face powder. I then went in with some mid-tone warm matte shades from the palette, (I used the first and second shade from the second row). I used this as transition shades and to help blending when it comes to the shimmery shade on the lid. To darken the crease I went in with a deep-to-medium toned matte brown (the first shade on the bottom row).

As a base for the shimmery bronze shade I used a cream eye pencil in a dark shimmery brown. I got this in a Ted Baker gift set so I’m not sure of the name, sorry! I then went over this with a shimmery bronze eyeshadow (I used the last shade on the third row) I really tried to pack this on the lid making to keep the metallic finish! I went back into the deep matte brown shade and blended the edges. To add some lightness to the lid I applied a light gold shade just in the centre (I applied the fourth shade on the second row).

For the skin I didn’t want anything too heavy as I was going for a lighter look but I still wanted it to be pretty flawless! I’ve got to say I really loved the way my base makeup looked!

PRIMER: Smashbox Colour Adjust Primer and New Look Mattifying Primer

FOUNDATION: No7 Lift and Luminate – Cool Vanilla

CONCEALER: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – Vanilla

CREAM BRONZER: Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel

BAKING POWDER: Makeup Forever HD Setting Powder

SETTING POWDER: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural – Light

BRONZER: Soap and Glory Solar Powder

BLUSH: MAC Melba Powder Blush

HIGHLIGHT: MAC Mineralise Skinfinish – Soft and Gentle

CONTOUR: Too Faced Cocoa Contour Kit – Medium Chocolate

I then set this with MAC Fix+ to help the powders settle and to avoid looking cakey.

To finish the eyes I used MAC Teddy eye kohl along my top lash line, I then used a dark shimmery brown shade to smudge this out (the last shade on the fourth row of the 35T palette). I also took this eye liner around the waterline, I really like how this pencil is a dark bronze shade so it is perfect for this sort of look! For the lower lash line I blended the same matte shades from the crease for a more cohesive look! I then applied lots of Benefit They’re Real Mascara and MAC Extended Play Mascara!

As a final touch I applied the shade Vermeer from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette to my inner corner and used a mixture of Vermeer and Tempera for a browbone highlight. I then applied MAC Boldly Bare Lipliner and topped this with MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick in Skinny Dipping to complete the look!

I really love how this look came out!

Hope to see you around,

Love,

Charlotte xx
