I have been obsessed with Urban Decay’s 1993 Comfort Matte Lipstick ever since I got it and since I recently got my hands on the Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick in the shade 1993, I thought I would create a look focused on this vampy 90’s lip colour.
I first applied some tape along the outer corners of my eyes to help create a cat eye with the shadows. I then took the shade Lethal from the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette on an angled brush and applied this to the outer V and into the crease, I then went over the very edges of this with the shade Black Jack from the same palette. I continued applying these two shades until the desired depth was reached. I then went over the edges with Instinct from this palette and a fluffy blending brush.
To help create the soft cut crease I took my concealer and a flat brush and cut the crease! I then set this with a translucent face powder. I then took the shade Highlite from the Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette and applied this to the concealed area. I first applied this dry and then applied some Fix + to my brush and reapplied the shade for more intensity.
I then went back in with the shade Lethal and the angled brush to deepen the crease, I then used the tape to create a really quick winged liner using the L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Intense. I then went on to fill in my brows, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Dark Brown and Soap and Glory Brow Archery in Hot Chocolate. I filled my brows in a lot thicker than I usually would, but I think it really went with the look.
To prime my face I used the Smashbox Colour Correcting Primer, for foundation I used Nars Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc, I applied this with a beauty blended for a flawless finish. I applied Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla to my under eye are to conceal any darkness. I used Bare Minerals Mineral Veil to bake my under eye. Before I set the rest of my skin I applied cream highlight, for this I used Makeup Obsession Strobe Balm in Precious, I blended this with my finger along to tops of my cheekbone. I then set my foundation using MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural in Light!
For my contour I used Medium Cocoa from the Too Faced Cocoa Contour Kit, I applied more of the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil to clean up under this. I used MAC Melba Blush to add a little colour to the cheeks without being overbearing, and to top it all off I applied Makeup Obsessions Moon Highlighter to the same places I had applied the strobe cream. As this is a full glam look I also contoured my nose with the same contour powder and added some extra highlight along the bridge of my nose and to the tip! I love a good glow but obviously just apply as much as you’re comfortable with!
Once I had finished with the face I went back to finish the eyes. I tight lined with a black pencil and then blended Red Ochre from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette along the lower lash line. To make this a little redder I blended Love Letter through this too. I then traced along my lower lashes with the black L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Intense and blended Black Jack from the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette through this.
To highlight the brow bone I used a mix of Tempera and Vermeer from the Modern Renaissance palette, and for the inner corner highlight I used Vermeer from the same palette. I then applied MAC Extended Play Mascara to the lashes and Eylure Party Perfect Texture lashes. I really love how these lashes look, they’re so wispy but not too thick!
To finish the look I lined my lips with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil in 1993, I then applied the Vice Liquid Lipstick in 1993 and topped this with the Comfort Matte Lipstick in 1993! I really love this shade! It’s a muted warm brown so perfect for every day or a more dramatic look!
Overall I love how this look turned out! If you’d like to see a review of the Vice Liquid Lipstick let me know!!
Hope to see you around,
