New Years Eve is such a fun night to go all out with your makeup, you can be as daring and dramatic as you like! For this look I used MAC 3D Gold Glitter on my lids and opted for a matte beige-grey lip. The glitter makes the look bold whist the rest of the makeup is simple enough that you can do it in around 25 minutes, so it’s a great look for any last minute parties!
I started the eyes by applying Urban Decay Primer Potion to my lid and blending this along the lower lashline and brow bone as well. I then blended the shades Whiskey and Combust from the Urban Decay Smoky Palette into my crease to help transition the shades later. I then took Dirtysweet from the same palette and blended this along the lid, this will be used as a base for the glitter.
I used the NYX Glitter primer to help adhere the glitter to my lid, then using a small stiff brush I applied the MAC 3D Gold Glitter onto of the primer, I decided not to apply this over my entire lid, only about two-thirds of it as I have kind of hooded eyes so not that much will be visible when my eyes are opened! This glitter primer is actually amazing! I would recommend only doing one eye at a time though as it can dry quite fast! I then decided to darken my crease so I used the shade Lethal from the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette.
At this stage I went on to apply my foundation, I followed my Flawless Base Routine! I used Benefit Hoola to contour, MAC Harmony for my Blush and the MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Soft Frost to highlight. I used Soap and Glory Brow Archery to fill in my brows and set using the Benefit Gimmie Brow!
For my lower lashline, I went back in with the shade Lethal and blended it out using the colour Lockout, both from the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette! I then lined my waterline and tightline with a black waterproof eye pencil before applying a small amount of liquid liner along my top lashline, this helps to make lashes look thicker!
To finish the look I applied lots of Too Faced Lashgasm mascara and a touch of New Look matte lipstick in Mocha!
Hope to see you around,
