This time of the year almost everyone has Christmas Parties and Holiday Parties that they need to get dressed up for, this is one of the looks I’ll be using this holiday season.
I really love how this looked, the soft smokey eye topped with glitter with winged liner and lots of lashes is the perfect look for a holiday party.
To begin with, I mixed some of the Wild About Beauty Rose Water Illuminating Serum and Sleek Barekissed Illuminator in the shade Monaco to create a dewy finish.
I then moved on to the eyes, I used a matte neutral light brown shade from the Morphe 35T palette as a transition shade and then applied the shade Highlight from the Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette (read my review here). To blend this shade out I used the shades Almost There and Smudge from the Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette. I reapplied these shades a few times to intensify the look. I used the shade Pure Chocolate to further deepen the crease.
For the glitter I applied MAC Reflects Gold in the centre of my lid to add a beautiful sparkle to the look, I also used this pigment in my Birthday Makeup Look. I really love how this is such a simple look but the glitter makes it look so much more glamorous.
I used L’Oreal Superliner to create a long thin winged eye liner, I used the Sephora Collection Waterproof eye pencil on my top waterline but I left the lower waterline free of liner. For the lower lash liner I smudged a little of Pure Chocolate and Smudge into the lashes to add a little shadow.
To finish the eyes I applied a lot of mascara, I used Benefit They’re Real and Benefit Roller Lash and for the lower lashes I used MAC Extended Play Gigablack Mascara.
For my foundation I blended NARS Sheer Glow in the shade Mont Blanc, ready review here. For extra coverage I applied NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Vanilla. I set the concealer using Lush Emotional Brilliance Setting Powder and then set the rest of my face using the MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in the shade Light.
I used the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer to Contour, for blush I used NARS Orgasm and then to highlight I used theBalm Mary Lou-Manizer along my cheekbones and the top of my nose.
I wanted something neutral on my lips without using a nude so I went for the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Lolita. I love how this colour works so well with the eye look and how long lasting this product is!
I wore this makeup look out for Afternoon Tea at the Merchant Hotel with my family and paired it with curled hair for a soft glam look. I styled this with a simple casual outfit, the coat and top are both from New Look, the jeans are from Topshop and the boots are from Dune but I got them on ASOS. I kept my jewellery simple with little studded earrings and my Pandora rings to finish off the look!
Hope to see you around,
