Recent Lippies

Hey Everyone!
I’ve recently bought some new lipsticks and I thought I’d let you know my first impressions!

Tanya Burr – Birthday Cake

This is a pale pink glossy lipstick that is perfect for everyday! It is easy to reapply as you don’t need a lip liner, so this makes it perfect for on the go. As this lipstick has a glossy formula it isn’t very long lasting, which can be quite annoying.

Swatch:

Topshop – Boardroom

This is a matte brown/grey lipstick that is an easy to wear but edgy nude. The matte formula makes this more long lasting than the Tanya Burr lipstick but I would recommend a lip liner too. I found that over the day as I topped up the lipstick it began to get chunky and clump together so I would suggest totally removing the lipstick before reapplying for the best finish.

Swatch:

Urban Decay – Stark Naked (Comfort Matte)

This is a really nice nude lipstick, it works really well for everyday and would also be stunning with a dark smokey eye. I found this lipstick really easy to apply and it reapplied well. Because of the matte formula and the good pigmentation of this lipstick I would recommend wearing a lip liner underneath.

MAC – Antique Velvet (Matte)

This lipstick is a matte brown, it looks red in the photo but it is more of a dark brown in person. This shade is the perfect colour for winter and the brown tone makes it look really edgy! I can’t wait to use this colour more over the next few months! This shade has really good pigmentation and is really long lasting. You will definitely need a lip liner underneath this lipstick due to the bold colour, a lip liner will also make it more long lasting!

I really love all these lipsticks and I can’t wait to wear them over winter! Have you got any lipstick recommendations for me?
Hope to see you around,
Love,

Charlotte xx
