A while ago I posted about disappointing high-end products (read it here) and I thought I would do a similar post on drugstore products!
Marks and Spencers – Rosie for Autograph: Miracle Concealer – £14.00
I hadn’t heard much about this range but I thought I’d give it a go anyways just to see what it’s like. I was extremely disappointed, the colour is extremely pink, I almost thought it was a correcting concealer when I first applied it and to make matters worse when I tried to blend it, with a brush and with me fingers, it basically disappeared and disrupted my foundation underneath.
Soap and Glory – Solar Powder – £11.00
This product really disappointed me because I am usually really impressed with Soap&Glory products but I found this product to have a really limited colour payoff and I find that no matter how much I apply it, there is pretty much no change.
Rimmel – Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer – £5.99
I really like the brush applicator onthis concealer but sadly the colour isn’t a great match, and none of the other colours worked either. I find the worst thing about drugstore concealers is the shade range, it really ruins a good product!
Maybelline – The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara – £7.99
This mascara is the biggest let down I’ve ever experienced. I really love the falsies range from Maybelline, they’re my go to drugstore mascaras but this one was different. It made my lashes super clumpy no matter what way I applied it and no matter what products I used with it. If you’re looking for a drugstore mascara I’d stick to Maybelline the falsies or the falsies flared, 100 times better than this one.
There are a lot of great products in the drugstore and I love trying out new products from all the different brands, these are some of the disappointing products I’ve encountered. On a better note, what are some of your favourite drugstore products?
Hope to see you around,
