Today I thought I would share my everyday make-up routine with you all, it’s a very simple 10 step routine that I feel just helps me look slightly more polished when I’m out running errands or for when I have class. Enjoy!
Step 1: I like to apply Too Faced Primed and Poreless all over face with the puff that it comes with. I feel this is a good starting step as it helps minimise pores and gives a more flawless finish.
Step 2: Then to even out my skin tone I apply MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade Light all over with a MAC 127 brush.
Step 3: Then to add some colour I like to apply Benefits Dandelion blush using a MAC 168, then I use the Mary-Lou Manizer to highlight the top of my cheekbones and the tip of my nose using a Sigma F35 brush.
Step 4: Once my face is complete I like to move on to my eyes, I really love the ‘Don’t Tell’ Shade from MAC’s Amber times Nine palette, I use a Real Techniques Base Shadow brush to apply this shade all over my eyes.
Step 5: To add definition along my lash line I use a black eyeshadow that I soften with a Sigma E30 brush.
Step 6: To add some brightness to this look, I like to apply the Mary-Lou Manizer to my inner corners and brow bone using a Smashbox Precision Brush, I find that this brush is just the perfect size to reach these areas.
Step 7: To finish off my eyes I like to add plenty of mascara, my current favourites are the Benefit Roller Lash and MAC Extended Play Gigablack mascara!
Step 8: On to the brows now, to fill in my brows I like to use the Soap and Glory Brow Archery in Hot Chocolate. I find this product is very similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, but at a fraction of the cost! Then to set my brows in place for the day I like to use the Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium Deep.
Step 9: For my lips I’m currently loving the combination of Too Faced Melted Nude and MAC Creme Cup, I feel like this is just the perfect pinky-nude shade for spring!
Step 10: To finish everything off I like to blend the face make-up together with a MAC 187SE, this duo-fibre brush just helps to take away any harsh lines and adds a natural finish to the look.
I know this might look like a lot of steps but in reality it takes me around 10-15 minutes (depending on how kind my brows are that day) and of course feel free to swap in some of your favourite products! Let me know if you give this look a try!
Hope to see you around,
